The City of Reno’s Department of Information Technology is advising the public of a series of phone outages through next week at various city facilities. The city reports it's undergoing phone line maintenance and will experience "short, intermittent outages."

Here is the schedule of phone outages for each location:

• Friday, May 31 from 4 to 5 p.m. - Reno Direct, Public Works Corporation Yard and the Municipal Court Defendant line. Citizens can email renodirect@reno.gov or chat with a representative at Reno.gov during this time.

• Tuesday, June 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. - Public Works Corporation Yard and the Municipal Court Defendant line.

• Thursday, June 6 from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. - All City Hall phones, Municipal Court phones (excluding the Defendant and Marshal line), Idlewild Pool, Northwest Pool, Traner Pool, Neil Road Recreation Center, Community Assistance Center, Drop in Center, McKinley Arts & Culture Center and Parks Maintenance.

• Friday, June 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. - All Reno Police Department (RPD) phones, including RPD Sub Stations, Municipal Court Marshals main line; Community Development Planner of the Day line; Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center; and Reno Fire Department main line.

The city says voicemail functionality will not be available during these times, so callers will not be able to leave messages. Reno Direct representatives are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of weekends and holidays. 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch services and 775-334-COPS (Non-Emergency Dispatch) will not be affected during this outage.
