Kurt Schroeder

Sports Director

Kurt Schroeder has been with the KOLO sports department since July 2018, and was recently named sports director in May of 2023.

He was born and raised in Bellevue, Washington and is a PROUD graduate of Washington State University.

Kurt’s first opportunity in television came as a sports intern at KCPQ in Seattle. He’s also held positions at KIRO and KFBB.

Saying Kurt is a sports fan is a bit of an understatement. During his free time he likes to watch and follow his favorite professional and collegiate teams. Aside from the Cougs he is a lifelong Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins fan.

When he’s not wrapped up in the world of sports Kurt is probably sleeping, eating, trying his best to stay in shape, and spending time with friends.
