RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said it has arrested a suspect who allegedly cashed counterfeit U.S. Treasury checks at Nevada casinos.

Jarrod James Reboton, 48, was arrested June 8 on suspicion of passing fake checks, attempted grand larceny and attempt to gain money under false pretense. He was released on his own recognizance on June 9.

Detectives then found that he had merchandise stolen from the Folsom, Calif., area in a backpack and also found drugs in the backpack. Detectives arrested him June 10 on charges of possession of stolen property and two counts of possession of less than a half-ounce of drugs.

Detectives released images of Rebotan on May 13 asking the public to identify him and were given a tip through Secret Witness.
