RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Things are looking more colorful downtown under the Reno arch.

The City of Reno painted a Pride-themed crosswalk as a tribute to LGBTQ Pride Month.

The temporary crosswalk is expected to be in place through the months of June and July, and will be visible during the Northern Nevada Pride event on July 24, 2021 in downtown Reno.

In March 2017, the Reno City Council passed a Resolution affirming that Reno is a Welcoming City and remains committed to building a welcoming and neighborly atmosphere in our community, where all are welcome, accepted and integrated.

Reno City Councilmember Devon Reese is speaking Tuesday during the unveiling.
